Andrew Ortale Joins The Expo Group as Vice President, National Sales
Irving, Texas – December 4, 2007 – Andrew Ortale has joined The Expo Group as Vice President, National Sales. Ortale will manage the general contractor’s Washington D.C.-area office. “After meeting with Ray Pekowski, I was inspired by his passion for the company, the people here and the industry,” Ortale says. “Understanding the history of this industry, I was attracted by the unique approach The Expo Group takes toward relationships – the relationship with the exhibitors and that with show organizers.” Ortale has worked in the industry almost his entire career. He has gained a reputation in the DC association community for creating personal connections with his clients, and it is easy to see he has a vested interest in the success of their events. “Andrew is very highly regarded among the associations that constitute our potential customer base,” says Executive Vice President of National Sales Terry Keenan. “Andrew is very involved in the industry organizations and his collection of work gives him a unique understanding of the customers’ needs and wants in producing a tradeshow.” Most recently, Ortale served as Vice President of Client and Industry Relations for J. Spargo & Associates in Fairfax, Va. Ortale has been immersed in the tradeshow industry since joining Brede Exposition Services as an account executive in 1998. He previously worked for the Greater Pittsburgh Convention and Visitor’s Bureau and the Orlando Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. Ortale is a member of ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership, Professional Convention Management Association and the International Association of Exhibitions and Events.
