Irving, Texas - June 21, 2005 - In the last five years, The Expo Group has honored 24 show managers for their dedication and ingenuity. The tradition continues this year with the sixth-annual The Expo Group Show Manager of the Year awards.

"The Expo Group Show Manager of the Year award is all about the person, not their show," says The Expo Group President and CEO Ray Pekowski. "I cannot stress this enough. We want to recognize individuals who work tirelessly on behalf of their attendees and exhibitors to create a viable marketplace."

If you know a deserving show manager, please submit a nomination at www.theexpogroup.com/smoty. Self-nominations are encouraged as well.

SMOTY award winners should exhibit innovative practices, premier customer service, commitment to success and ability to overcome obstacles. The judging panel consists of independent publishers and industry professionals. Nominees need not be clients of The Expo Group, and will not be solicited based on their nomination.

SMOTY trophies are awarded yearly in five categories based on the size of the show. Each winner receives a trophy and recognition industry-wide. The Expo Group makes a $1,000 donation in each winner's name to the charity or educational institution of his or her choice.
