The Expo Group Extends Customer Service with Voice Over IP Technology

The Expo Group (Irving, TX) continues to use the latest technology to take customer service in the trade show industry to the next level. Utilizing the latest Voice Over IP (VOIP) technology, TEG creates direct telecommunications channels from the corporate office to every showsite service center around the world.

Using VOIP telecommunications, an exhibitor’s call made to our main 800 number can be transferred directly to their Personal Service Representative (PSR), onsite. Rather than asking the client to dial an additional number, the call is transferred directly to the PSR. "This technology allows us to extend our single point of contact philosophy. We service exhibitors who aren’t yet at show site, by placing them in direct contact with their PSR," stated Ray Pekowski, President & CEO.

"VOIP is just an additional use of the way we use technology in our service centers. We have always treated our show-site service centers as an extension of our corporate office. We have equipped our service centers with direct e-mail and faxing capabilities since early 1997 by creating a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection to our corporate office. Our network infrastructure continues to take advantage of the latest cutting edge technologies, allowing us to create the next generation of customer service", Randy Pekowski, Director of Information Systems stated.

The Expo Group, headquartered in Irving, Texas is the only nationwide general service contractor that offers a Single Source Solution® in the trade show industry. The Single Source Solution provides exhibitors a single point of contact for all required exhibitor services and an exclusive online ordering system called "cyberservices." The Single Source Solution provides exhibitors and show managers a proven, efficient way to manage the process of exhibiting.
