FTP Upload
One easy way to send graphics is
via our File Transfer Protocol (FTP) site. To upload your graphics to
our server, please follow the instructions outlined below.
Some companies use a PROXY server to monitor their outbound internet traffic. The PROXY Server must be set to passive mode and be SOCKS compliant. We will continue to assist the exhibitors and provide as much help in getting these files copied as needed. If you experience problems, please ask your Customer Account Manager for assistance.
Attn. MAC Users: Safari, Firefox and IE do not have FTP upload clients. The built-in FTP client in the Finder (choose Connect to Server from the Go menu, and type in the ftp URL) is read-only. This means you can only view and not copy/move files through FTP. You will have to use an FTP client like
Fetch or
InterArchy. This is not a flaw in our FTP design but a limitation with the current internet browsers available for MAC’s. Exhibitors must use a 3rd party FTP client if they choose to upload files via a MAC operating system.
Step 1: Name your file appropriately.
Each file should follow this construction: Event_Company_Description.
One example of an
uploaded file: ASTRO_Varian_VerticalLogo.eps with ASTRO_Varian_VerticalLogoProof.pdf
Step 2: Click on the link below to open a connection.
You will be prompted to enter an FTP User Name and
Password. (If you do not have an FTP User Name and
Password, click here
and a user profile will be emailed to you.)
create FTP connection
Step 3: Once connected, an Explorer window will pop
open on your computer showing your designated file on our FTP site.
Double-click to open the folder. Then double-click to
open the Client_Upload folder. Using your mouse, you can now drag one
file or multiple files from folders on your computer into the Client_Upload folder
in this new window. You must upload a PDF proof with all files.
Dragging and dropping will copy the files to The Expo Group FTP site. This
process will not delete the files from your computer
Step 4: When your upload is complete, close the Explorer window to close the connection.
Step 5: Our FTP site will send an alert to members of
our staff so they are aware you have created a User Profile and/or
uploaded files. As an added measure, feel free to contact your
CAM or account
executive. If you do not have their contact information, please call
972-580-9000.
You’re done for now! Thanks for working with The Expo Group.
